How do holographic fans work?

 Holographic fans, also known as hologram fans or 3D holographic fans, create the illusion of 3D holographic images or videos floating in mid-air. These devices use a combination of technology and persistence of vision to create the effect. Here's how holographic fans work:

  1. Rotating Blades or LED Strips: Holographic fans consist of a set of high-speed rotating blades or LED strips arranged in a circle. Each blade or LED strip contains rows of LEDs.

  2. LED Display: The LEDs on these blades or strips serve as individual pixels that can emit light of different colors. By controlling the LEDs on each blade or strip, the device can create 2D images or videos.

  3. Synchronization: The rotation of the blades or LED strips is precisely synchronized with the content being displayed. This synchronization ensures that the LEDs flash at the right moment to create the desired images or videos.

  4. Persistence of Vision: The key principle behind holographic fans is the persistence of vision. This is a phenomenon in which our eyes retain an image for a brief moment after it has disappeared. The rapid rotation of the blades or LED strips ensures that, as they move, the LEDs emit light at different angles, creating the illusion of a 3D image.

  5. Content Creation: Users create or convert 3D or 2D content into a format suitable for the holographic fan. This content can include animations, videos, or images. The content is divided into individual frames that match the positions of the blades or LED strips as they rotate.

  6. Real-Time Processing: A processor or controller inside the holographic fan processes the content and sends instructions to the LEDs on each blade or strip. It calculates which LEDs should be illuminated at each moment as they move through their rotation.

  7. Displaying 3D Holograms: As the blades or LED strips rotate at high speeds, the synchronized illumination of the LEDs creates the illusion of a 3D holographic image or video. These images appear to float in the air, and viewers can see different perspectives as they move around the display.

  8. Viewing: To see the 3D holographic effect, viewers stand at a certain distance from the holographic fan. The optimal viewing distance can vary depending on the fan's size and design.

Holographic fans are often used for advertising and promotional displays, showcasing products, or creating eye-catching visual effects at events, exhibitions, and retail locations. They offer a unique and attention-grabbing way to present 3D content without the need for specialized eyewear or physical holographic screens.
